I have hated blackberry right from its inception. This might be due to disgust for the craze for BB with its inherent tiny buttons and a central ball, could not access more than a couple of emails, low battery standby and worst of all, the cost! I’ll rather stick to my China phone with the company of my laptop. In my own opinion, China phone Techno especially is the best phone for making calls –if all what you need your phone for is making calls. My views about smart phones change with my first Android phone. It was a Galaxy Pocket. The more I browse the facilities of the phone, the more I see endless possibilities of its usefulness. Especially for someone like me who is in the ICT sector, it is easier to appreciate the usefulness of such a small device. My smart phone now is not just a device for making calls, a fashion accessory or a gaming device. My smart phone is tool for work, learning & leisure.
With the advent of my galaxy pocket, I become less attached to my Laptop. Finally, I’ve got a device that can do most things that I will require my Laptop to accomplish & even more. Though I will not call it an outright replacement, it is a good companion and handy alternative. I can check and reply mails as they come in, I could make calls, Skype, edit word documents and send, get Latitude and longitude values off hand, snap pictures, record videos, browse internet, scan, scan, read, play games and hack all from one single device! If you are apathetic to smart phones, especially Android devices, I will advise you to try it out, It will change the way you work, learn and play just like it changed mine. When you chose to use a smart phone, chose an Android.
